Preliminary Rainfall Totals

The NWS Fairbanks Office released a Public Information Statement at 1:30 p.m. today with preliminary rainfall totals for the storm. Figure 1 shows those values. In addition, the number of consecutive hours with measurable precipitation in Fairbanks ended at 1 p.m. AKDT at 37. This breaks the previous record of 33 set twice (data only goes back to 1974). Figure 2 shows the hourly precipitation during that time period (Note: the max 24-hour value is slightly different than what the NWS stated).
